October 21, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by President Rod..
The prayer was given by Noble Gary and the flag salute was given by Noble Bob.

The minutes The reading of the minutes of September 16, 2009 were approved as corrected.
The Treasure’s report : The Treasurer’s Report was read by Treasurer Charlie Reuter and was approved. Noble Charlie said the it is time to pay the 2010 Dues. Make the check payable to the Al Malaikah Motor Patrol and mail them to the secretary.
Applications for membership: None
Disney Posters Noble Jay Duke reported on the appraisal of these posters. He said it has been determined that the posters were of relatively little value -- probably in the hundreds of dollars – not in the thousands of dollars we had hoped for. There are a few posters that still need to have the value determined. He hopefully will have more information for the next meeting.
POV, January 19, 2010 The POV will be held at Van Nuys Lodge on TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2010. It will be catered by a vendor that Van Nuys Lodge uses often and Rainbow Girls will serve. A menu of Tri-tip and Chicken will be served.
Christmas Party: This will be held at Van Nuys Lodge on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009. It will be catered by a vendor that Van Nuys Lodge uses often and Rainbow will serve. It was decided that Prime Rib and Chicken will be served. Dessert will be a sheet cake. Social hour at 6 PM, Dinner at 7 PM and as short meeting at 8 PM. It was decided that there will be no charge to members for dinner.
Paso Robles Parade -- Pioneer Days This parade was on October 10, 2009. Nobles Gary and Charlie reported that seven members rode in the parade. Friday night some of us met for a joint dinner with the Koppers at Noble Roger Barnard’s home. The dinner turn-out was small. Noble Roger and his wife Barb served a delicious meal. After the parade some of us rode over to Cambria for lunch and a nice visit around the lunch table.
Ride to Wollfard Heights The October 25 ride was cancelled due to a confliction with the Potentate’s Lobster Fest. It has been rescheduled for November 15, 2009. Noble Mike and his wife Rukth will serve a tri-tip lunch. The weather in November should still be nice.
Check to the Shriners Hospital Donations from the Ride for the Kids have so far totaled $935.00. Hilda added $65.00 to that amount to bring the total to $1000.00. A check will be sent to the hospital for $1000.00. A letter was sent to CHP Officer Jason Kremsdorf thanking him for helping to serve lunch at the event. Thank you Noble Bob Black for all of your hard work.
Chief Rabban Fundraiser: “Ugly Sweater Party” is on November 8, 2009. Tickets are $25.00. Contact the Shrine office for reservations – 213-748-0173. Mexican food will be served. A no-host Margarita Bar will be available.
New Business The Secretary read a letter from the Freemasons Riding Club stating that they were interested developing an event in the Kern area. Noble Mike Complimented and thanked the Secretary for his work in the past and the next two years (assuming he is re-elected).
Slate of Officer nominees for the 2010 – 2011 year. President – Bob Black, Vice President - Jay Duke, Secretary-- Leo Anselm, Treasurer Rod Vonder Reith, Captain - Gary Hartjen, 1st Lieutenant – Glenn Ramsey, 2nd Lieutenant – Dave Sizemore. The election will be at our November meeting.
